Flip Chavez and Blair Lampe met online when Blair mistook a picture of Flip biking in a desert landscape for Burning Man and reached out. Flip was excited to learn that Blair had a black cat and also liked to travel as he did. They met up for beers and board games on Tax Day and had a really really nice time, learning they shared dreams of real estate investing, an interest in dreams themself, and an uncannily similar worldview. But it was on the second date that destiny revealed itself as Flip presented Blair with two of the most precious gifts she could imagine: a hiking backpack and some cheese. 

Since then, they’ve made good on their love of adventure, traveling to their wits end as time has allowed, and digging into opportunities closer to home when circumstances did not. They’ve revelled in time spent with friends, fostered a bunch of perfect cats, hiked 180 miles around Lake Tahoe, gone to Burning Man after all, explored their current home base Salt Lake City, and just generally delighted in spending time in each other’s company through the ups and downs of all of it. So marriage then, seems like a very nice way to keep on doing that.
